Minor All Ireland Final

Dublin 3-10 Galway 3-10

Anybody who made the trip to Tipperary today were fortunate to have witnessed one of the most exciting minor All Ireland finals played in years. This game had everything, six goals, four yellow cards, one red card and high drama plus two never say die teams.

Galway got off to a flying start with goals from Ciana Ní Churraoin and Emma Reaney, the tribeswoman had an eight point lead with only four minutes gone on the clock leaving Dublin looking shell shocked to say the least. Dublin where rocked again just before half time when Shauna Hynes hit the net for Galway's third goal. Dublin eventually began to settle clocking up five first half points but Galway's three goals was the difference between the sides at half time. Dublin 0-05 Galway 3-05.

Dublin came out of their blocks on the restart taking the game to Galway who seemed to have formed a more defensive set up for the second half of this pulsating final. Leah Mullins started the Dublin fight back with a fisted goal which seemed to ignite her team mates with Dublin going on to add on a number of well taken points. But the high drama came in injury time when second half substitute Margaret Mohan crashed her shot past Galway net minder, Caoimhne Ni Laoi. Moments later Carla Rowe added Dublin's third goal which now remarkably had given the reigning champions a one point lead. Galway somehow dug deep to shoot the equaliser which brought the game level 3-10 a piece.

So both Dublin and Galway live to do it all again, Croke Park will announce details of the replay tomorrow morning August 6th.
