TESCO Home Grown Player of the Month for June:
Martha Byrne of Cuala has been chosen as the TESCO Home Grown Player of the Month for June. The 18 year old student, is the first player from Cuala to representative the South Dublin club on the Dublin senior team.
Martha made her senior championship debut for Dublin on Saturday June 29th when she gave an impressive performance at left half back versus Kildare in the Tg4 Leinster Semi-final having first donned the sky blue jersey on March 3rd in the league encounter versus Cork.
Martha has been excelling for her club this season especially in the junior championship with the Dalkey Queens narrowly losing out on a place in the TESCO home grown Junior A semi-final on score difference. Cuala enjoyed championship wins over St Peregrines, Portobello and Man O War but came unstuck against Croi Ro Naofa in their opening game of their championship campaign
