Division Three

Cuala 1-6

O'Dwyer's 0-3

Fiona Murphy's late goal finally saw Cuala over the line as they withstood an O'Dwyer's second half onslaught to land the division three title,

In the first half, Jennifer Dunne produced an immaculate series of points to build a six-point lead before the Balbriggan brigade got on the scoreboard.

She scored the five of those with Sinead Wilde also chipping in as the Dalkey side used the wind to great effect before the turnaround.

O'Dywer's, though, had shown their intent when they drew a super double save from Caoimhe O'Carroll, Katie McCabe and Chloe Carey's follow-up shot blocked in brilliant fashion.

It gave them heart and a pair of frees from Blaithnaid Reynolds sandwiched another from Carey in a rousing fightback. Erin Healy clattered the post while Reynolds also pinged the crossbar amid a goal-mouth scramble as O'Dwyer's almost forced an equaliser.

But Cuala duly countered as Murphy followed up a loose clearance to fist into the goal ahead of two defenders, copper-fastening the win.
