One of the highlights of the Dublin Ladies Gaelic football calendar is without question, Feile Atha Cliath. Once again Feile is being proudly sponsored by Everbuild who have been associated with Dublin Feile since 2008, this partnership is now synonymous with this fantastic festival of U14 football.
2013 will see 49 teams participating in Feile with over 1083 players involved in the thick of the action all vying to reach the finals which this year will be played on Sunday in Lawless Memorial Park, Swords. The group stages are taking place on Saturday 13th of April in St Sylvesters (Malahide) and Naomh Meaarnog (Portmarnock).
Division one champions will go onto to represent Dublin in National Feile which is being held this year in Derry. Foxrock Cabinteely is one of seven clubs in division one hoping to make the trip north, with the South Dublin club one of the favourites to take home the Emma Jones Memorial trophy.
Traditionally two Dublin clubs would represent the Capital at national Feile but this year only one club will be going forward. With the honour of representing the County at stake all the components are there for a wonderful battle in the top division.
A big Feile welcome to goes to St Finian's of Newcastle who under the management of All Ireland minor winning goal keeper, Ciara Trant is featuring in Feile for the very first time, best of luck girls!
