Congrats to Sinead Aherne & Cliodhna O'Connor who are featured in a book launched last week "Fingal Sporting Heroes"
the girls are featured along with GAA greats like Barney Rock, The Foley Brothers, Mick Kennedy, Paddy O'Reilly ,
Brian Cullen, Ciaran Duff and other like Ollie Campbell, Eoin Morgan and Philip Walton.

 

* Fingal Sporting Heroes is available now from all libraries in the Fingal region for €10. Fingal Local Studies and Archives Department is situated in Clonmel House, Forster Way in Swords, County Dublin .The department houses an impressive collection of materials relating to the history and heritage of the county including: books, maps, newspapers, directories, estate papers, photographs, parish registers etc. It also contains records of the former Dublin County Council and of the Council's predecessor bodies including Grand Juries, Boards of Guardians and other collections dealing with the development of County Dublin .Investment in the service is ongoing and the continued expansion of the collections is a central priority.Another priority is investment in other initiatives including local history publications i.e. Fingal Sporting heroes
