Niamh Kindlon and Ellen McCarron scored five points each as Monaghan beat Tyrone in the big Ulster derby in Division 1 of the Bord Gáis Energy Ladies National Football League on Sunday.
The Farney girls won the battle of the beaten 2010 and 2011 All-Ireland finalists at Healy Park, Omagh, to book their place in the last four of this year's League competition.
Cork and Dublin are also safely through to the semi-finals with two rounds of fixtures remaining while either Laois or Meath will fill the other spot, with Laois hot favourites to do so as they lead the Royal County by five points in the table.
Meath are not safe from relegation either as the group stages of the Bord Gáis Energy Leagues reaches an exciting climax.
Kildare picked up their first point of the campaign as they drew 1-10 to 0-13 against Meath in Ashbourne but the Lilywhites remain firmly anchored to the bottom of the table.
Kildare still have time to save their skins in Division 1 but time is running out as Donegal and Tyrone sit two points above them in the table, while Meath have some breathing space on four points.
At Healy Park, forward stars Kindlon and McCarron were superb for the visitors, who were beaten All-Ireland finalists last season.
Elsewhere, Cork collected a fifth win from five outings while Sinead Ahern was in blistering form for Dublin as the Sky Blues hammered Donegal by 5-10 to 1-07 in Convoy.
Ahern accounted for half of her side's tally as she notched 2-05 against the outclassed hosts, who remain deep in relegation trouble.
Ahern had scored 1-02 by half-time as Dublin led by 1-06 to 0-04 and the Jackies pulled clear in the second half to record a fourth victory from five outings.
In Division 2, Kerry won a pulsating Munster derby in Castleisland as the hosts ran out 3-16 to 5-09 winners against Waterford.
Deirdre Corridan scored a late goal for the Kingdom to deny a Waterford side boosted by two goals from Hannah Landers.
In Division 3, table-toppers Westmeath went on the rampage against Roscommon, winning by 7-20 to 3-10.
And in Division 4, Antrim beat Louth by 2-09 to 0-12 as the Limerick v Carlow tie, due to be played in Kildimo, was postponed.
