Bord Gáis Energy Ladies NFL Round 4

4th March 2012

Division 1

Donegal v Monaghan, Convoy, 2.00pm, (J Niland)

Monaghan are currently sitting in fourth place in the league table with Donegal second from the bottom. A win for Donegal would be a huge boost to their campaign but Monaghan have been playing with intent and a loss this weekend seems very unlikely.

Kildare v Laois, Ballykelly, 2.00pm, (J Flood)

A Leinster derby and two teams that know eachother inside out. Kildare will be looking to get some points on the board as they are currently lying bottom of the table. Laois however have won 3 out of 4 games and have their eyes firmly set on a spot in the semi finals.

Tyrone v Dublin, Killclogher, 2.00pm, (G Corrigan)

This will be the first time that Tyrone and Dublin have met since the 2010 All Ireland Final. Since then the two sides have experienced much change, especially with new management teams in place in both Counties. Dublin have definitely looked the stronger side so far in 2012 but Tyrone will be eager to take advantage of the early start for the travelling Dubs.

Meath v Cork, Ashbourne, 2.00pm, (J Murray)

Meath will be reeling after the loss of Geraldine Doherty, one of their most influential forwards, after she was diagnosed with a broken leg after their match against Dublin. All money would be on Cork as they haven't lost a match so for in 2012. Meath will need to produce a top class performance to cause an upset this weekend.

Division 2

Galway v Kerry, Dr Duggan Park, Ballinasloe, 1.30pm, (M Kenny)

Mayo v Tipperary, Mayo Abbey Park, 2.00pm, (D McEnery)

Clare v Cavan, Clarecastle, Ennis, 2.00pm, (K Delahunty)

Waterford v Fermanagh, Fraher Field, 2.00pm, (R O'Connor)

In Division 2 Kerry and Mayo are topping the table, followed closely by Galway and Cavan. Neither Waterford or Fermanagh have registered any points so far so this weekend will be a crucial fixture for both sides.

Division 3

Sligo v Wicklow, Drumcliff, 3.00pm, (P Fahy)

Roscommon v Down, Kilmore, 2.00pm, (G Guinan)

Leitrim v Westmeath, Ballinamore, 3.00pm, (E O'Kane)

3rd March 2012

Division 3

Wexford v Armagh, Castletown, 2.00pm, (K Martin)

Westmeath have been leading the way in Division 3, closely followed by Armagh. Coming up against Leitrim this weekend a major headache for Westmeath manager Alan Mangan will be how to curb the influence of 2011 Intermediate Player's Player of the Year Aine Tighe.

4th March 2012

Division 4

Longford v Offaly, Emmett Park, 1.00pm, (C McManus)

Carlow v Antrim, Dr. Cullen Park, 2.00pm, (T Lennon)

Ex Mayo Star Diane O'Hora has got Longford off to a flying start as they are currently in pole position half way through the league. Offaly will have a tough challenge stopping them this weekend.

Carlow and Antrim are currently bottom of the table so a close game is expected as both will be eager to take the points.
