Dublin vs Tyrone

Dublin will travel to O’Neill Park, Dungannon this coming Saturday to take on Tyrone in their penultimate fixture of the 2025 Lidl NFL.

In team news, Paul Casey and Derek Murray have made three changes to their first fifteen for this encounter with Tyrone from that which began against Meath two weeks ago. Chloe Darby, Hannah Tyrrell and Sophie McIntyre are named to start making way are Grace Kós, Rebecca McDonnell and Carla Rowe.

With two rounds of the NFL left to play Tyrone’s division one status is looking perilous. Their sole league victory was a one-point win over Mayo back on the 9th of February. This Saturday’s clash with Dublin will be a key one for the red hand County as they go in search of three precious league points.

Tyrone are the only Intermediate championship graded team competing in division one having gained promotion to the NFL top tier last season. They are without question an emerging young side with viable aspirations to lift the Mary Quinn cup later in the year.

With the Leinster championship commencing in under four weeks’ time Dublin will be happy to get valuable game time into returning players such as Aoife Kane, Hannah Tyrrell and Éilish O’Dowd while also targeting back-to-back league victories.

Safe to say an interesting tussle awaits in Dungannon. Match referee, Brendan Rice will get proceedings underway in O’Neill Park at 15:00pm. Tickets for the game remain on sale from www.universe.com or via this link https://bit.ly/4ineKVP
