Dublin vs Waterford
Two weeks on from their one-point defeat to reigning league champions Armagh, Dublin management have made one change to their starting fifteen from that which lined out against the orchard county for this Sunday’s LIDL NFL encounter with Waterford.
Team captain, Carla Rowe who picked up a slight knock in the Armagh game is replaced in the starting line up by Rebecca McDonnell. On the plus side, Dublin will be boosted by the return of experienced trio Aoife Kane, Caoimhe O’Connor and Éilish O’Dowd who are named amongst the Dublin substitutes for this crucial league fixture.
With the bottom two Counties automatically relegated to division two for the 2026 playing season Dublin and Waterford are acutely aware of the importance of registering a victory this weekend. Both teams have suffered two defeats to date in their respective campaigns. Dublin losing out to Kildare and Armagh while Waterford succumbed to Meath and Kerry.
Pointless Mayo are presently residing in bottom place on the division one table hovering just above them are Kildare, Tyrone, Dublin and Waterford with all four teams level on three points each. Elsewhere on Sunday Tyrone take on All Ireland champions Kerry while Meath play their provincial neighbours Kildare. On Saturday Armagh who are top of the table alongside Meath will take on Mayo.
