TG4 Leinster SFC Round 1

Sunday April 21st | 14.00pm

Parnell Park

Dublin management have named their starting fifteen to take on Kildare in this Sundays opening round of the 2024 Leinster senior championship.

There are four changes to the Dublin starting team from that which began the All-Ireland final versus Kerry last August. Coming into the first fifteen are Jessica Tobin, Olwen Carey, Grace Kós and Niamh Hetherton. Out of the starting team are Eilish O’Dowd (overseas), Lauren Magee, Aoife Kane and Jodi Egan.

In fact ten of the players named in this Sunday’s match day squad did not feature for Dublin at all during the entire 2023 senior championship. Jessica Tobin and Caitlin Coffey both missed the season due to injury. Returning to the panel in 2024 are Olwen Carey, Grace Kós, Rachael Fleming, Sinéad Goldrick and Nicole Owens. New to the panel this season are Hannah McGinnis, Kate Murray, and Claire Kirwan.

Barry Redmond from Wexford will take charge of Sundays encounter between the reigning senior champions Dublin and Kildare the current Intermediate All Ireland champions who return to senior ranks for the first time since 2017.
