Dub Stars hit five to reclaim back the KCC perpetual trophy.
A large crowd made their way to Russell Park for the third year of the Dub Stars tournament and where treated to two entertaining contests which show cased the top players of club and County in both codes.
The Camogie Dub Stars were worthy victors in opening game of the day and it was to be a double victory for the "stars" as the football counter parts also claimed victory over the Dubs.
Pat Stitch 2011 Dub Stars panel dominated the third annual Dub Stars game from start to finish with Brigids duo Noelle Healy and Aisling King scoring four out of five of their sides goals with three time All Star Sinead Aherne also raising the green flag for the Dub Stars.
A fresh faced Dublin senior team seemed to take time to bond and by the time they had found their groove the Dub Stars had clocked up a sizeable lead which they where never going to surrender.
Ailish McKenna and Gemma Fay both worked hard in defence for the Dubs while the athletic Colleen Barrett along with Amy Ring repeatedly tried to break through what proved to be a solid Dub Stars back line.
However the day belonged to the Dub Stars team with fine performances in defence by Andrea Bowe and Sinead Goldrick, while Denise Masterson and Niamh McEvoy controlled mid field area, up front the in form Noelle Healy was dominating the game taking some fine scores and was ably assisted by Sinead Aherne and second half substitute Aisling King.
