Leinster Minor B Championship Semi final

Saturday April 6th, 2pm

TUD Blanchardstown

Dublin vs Westmeath.

Dublin have named their panel for this Saturdays minor championship semi-final versus Westmeath. Match official, Emma Dunne (Louth) will get the action underway at 2pm in TUD Blanchardstown. The winner will play either Wexford or Laois in the final on April 14th next.

Pat Geraghty and Richie Fogarty's side come into Saturdays semi-final on the back of a notable championship campaign which saw the midlanders register two impressive victories over Longford (3-08 to 0-06) and Wicklow (4-10 to 3-10) having bounced back from their narrow opening round defeat  to eventual table toppers Wexford (2-08 to 3-08).

Similar to Westmeath, Dublin also sprang back to form from their opening round defeat to Meath going on to register back-to-back victories over Kildare and Laois.  Indeed, Dublin were very unlucky not to qualify for the A provincial final.

Kildare, Meath and Dublin finished their round robin series of games all level on six points apiece with Kildare (+39) and Meath (31+) both having a superior score difference over Dublin (+30). Just one point was enough to see Meath through to the final versus Kildare and send Dublin into the second-tier championship.

Saturdays contest should be a close and exciting game between two total footballing teams. Wishing Dubs captain, Líadan Murphy, the Dublin panel and their management team all the very best of luck on Saturday.
