Leinster Inter County Update

Following on from last weekend’s series of fixtures played in the various underage Leinster competitions the current state of play is as follows:

Minor championship:

Meath, Kildare and Dublin finished the round robin stage of the championship all level on 6 points each.  Therefore, score difference was applied to determine which two teams qualified for the A Leinster minor final.

Kildare +39, Meath +31 and Dublin +30 resulting in Meath and Kildare qualifying for the A final and Dublin moving on to contest the minor B semi-final alongside Laois, Wexford and Westmeath.

Minor B semi-final pairings:

Dublin vs Westmeath

Wexford vs Laois

Both semi-finals will be played this Saturday April 6th, all venues and times to be confirmed by Leinster LGFA shortly.

U16 Championship:

Dublin and Kildare played their final group game on Easter Saturday with the Dubs coming out on top of that encounter on a score line of 2-08 to 0-08. This game proved to be a dress rehearsal for the U16 A final with Dublin meeting Kildare on April 21st next with a provincial title up for grabs this time around.

U14 Championship:

Dublin finished up their group stage of the Leinster competition on Saturday last with two wins from two outings. In their first game Dublin defeated Laois 2-06 to 1-07 and finished up their day with a 4-08 to 2-06 win over Wexford.
