LIDL NFL Div 1, Rd 4
Sunday February 18th, 2pm
Parnell Park, Donnycarney.
Dublin have revealed their team selection for this Sundays home game versus Galway in round four of the LIDL national football league.
In total Dublin management have made four changes to their starting line up from that which began against Mayo two weeks ago in Ballina. Coming into the first fifteen are Hannah Hegarty, Jennifer Dunne, Chloe Darby and Hannah Tyrrell. Making way are Niamh Donlon, Lauren Magee, Caoimhe O’Connor and Claire Kirwan. Donlon and O’Connor are listed amongst the Dublin replacements.
With two teams due to be relegated from division one this season the pressure will be on Galway to get a result on Sunday as the tribeswomen along with Waterford are the only two Counties in division one yet to register points on the table. Galway will be boosted by the return of Kilkerrin Clonberne All Ireland winning duo, Nicola Ward and Olivia Divilly to their squad.
Dublin got back to winning ways with a 2-15 to 2-08 victory over Mayo in round three having previously lost to Karry and Meath in the opening two rounds of the NFL. Going into round four, Kerry, Meath and Armagh remain unbeaten in the league while Dublin, Cork and Mayo have one victory apiece to their credit.
Sunday’s encounter between Dublin and Galway has all the makings of a thrilling encounter with both teams having to go full throttle to register a win and bag three very valuable league points.
Referee, Maggie Farrelly from Cavan will get proceedings underway at 2pm in Parnell Park.
