Leinster U16 Championship Rd 3
Sunday April 9th, 2023.
FT Dublin 8-17 (41) Wexford 0-7 (7)
Dublin finished off the group stages of their Leinster championship campaign with a convincing victory over Wexford.
To their credit Wexford kept battling to the very end of this contest and are a more talented outfit than the scoreboard would indicate.
Today, Dublin showed added confidence in their play than in their previous two outings and worked well as a unit, sticking to their game plan and taking the right option in front of the posts.
Twelve different players got on the Dubs scoresheet an indication of their good team play and decision making up front.
The back line worked hard, if points were given for blocks than the Dubs defence would have added an extra 4 - 5 scores to their overall tally.
Kildare defeated Meath by 2-13(19) to 4-5(17) to book their place alongside Dublin in the provincial A final on May 6th.
