Team News Dublin vs Cork

LIDL NFL Rd 3

Monday February 6th, 3pm

Páirc Uí Rinn (Live on TG4)

Dublin have made two changes to their starting fifteen to face Cork this Bank Holiday Monday from that which lost to Galway in Tuam last weekend.

Martha Byrne returns to the full back line having failed a late fitness test last Sunday she replaces Roisin Baker. Kate Sullivan is named to start at corner forward ahead of the industrious Jodi Egan.  Sullivan was a half time replacement last Sunday in Tuam but had to leave the game shortly after being introduced following a heavy collision with an opponent.

Dublin’s bench has been enhanced with the naming of experienced duo Niamh Hetherton and Lauren Magee both of whom have been included in a Dublin match day panel for the first time this season.

Cork remain unbeaten after two rounds of the NFL although Shane Ronayne chargers had to work hard last weekend to earn a draw against a dogged Waterford outfit.

Many would agree that both Dublin and Cork are in a period of transition at the moment with both managers experimenting with new systems and indeed players. Mondays game has all the makings of another interesting tussle between these two great rivals.

Garryowen McMahon for a second week in a row is in charge of a Dublin encounter the Monaghan native will get proceedings underway at 3pm in Páirc Uí Rinn.

Watch the game live only on TG4, 3pm.
