Team News Dublin v Galway
LIDL NFL Div 1 Rd 2
Sunday Jan 29th, 2pm
Tuam Stadium (Live Stream)
Dublin have made three changes to their starting fifteen to face Galway this Sunday from that which defeated Meath in the opening round of the 2023 LIDL NFL, last weekend.
Coming into the Dubs starting line-up are goalkeeper Abby Shiels who is a direct replacement for fellow keeper Emer Ní Éafa.
Roisin Baker another of the Na Fianna contingent brought into the senior set up this season, is due to make her senior County debut having been named at corner back for the injured Hannah Crowley.
While up front Caoimhe O’Connor switches places with Kate Sullivan having replaced the St Sylvesters sharpshooter at half time against Meath.
Dublin have named a twenty-six-match day panel for their trip to Tuam this Sunday for what will be their first NFL meeting with Galway since 2020. On that occasion the Tribeswoman got the better of the Dubs securing a 4-06 to 2-06 victory with cousins Roisin and Tracey Leonard chalking up an impressive 3-03 of their sides overall tally.
Chloe Darby, Kerri Owens and Shannon Richardson all contributed to the scoreboard when introduced as second half substitutes last weekend versus Meath. If sprung from the bench versus Galway, the trio no doubt will be hoping to further impress Dublin boss Mick Bohan as the competition for first fifteen jerseys gathers pace in the new look Dublin dressing room.
This intriguing NFL Rd 2 contest will be broadcast LIVE on the LGFA streaming portal. For more information on how to subscribe to the service please click this link https://bit.ly/3k9k8CB
