Dublin Champions prepare for Leinster campaigns...

As the curtain comes down on another season of club championship action in the capital, Kilmacud Crokes, Castleknock and O’Dwyers now turn their attention to preparing for what will hopefully be a fruitful run in the Leinster club championships.

Dublin clubs enjoyed great success last season with both St Sylvesters (Intermediate) and St Jude’s (Junior) achieving championship glory at provincial and national levels.

All three Dublin champions await confirmation as to who they will play in their opening game of 2022 Leinster club championships with finals scheduled to take place in Meath, Louth, Carlow and Wexford in the coming weeks.

Reigning Meath and indeed Leinster champions, St Peters of Dunboyne play Dunshaughlin Royal Gaels in the Meath senior final on the 8th of October. The winner of that bout will play Kilmacud Crokes (H) on Sunday the 16th of October in the Leinster senior quarter final.

Castleknock will take on the winners of the Louth senior final Cooley Kickhams or St Patrick’s in the Leinster Intermediate quarter final on Sunday the 23rd of October. The Louth County final is down for decision this coming Sunday the 2nd of October.

O’Dwyers will have a home quarter final to prepare for on Saturday the 22nd of October. They await the winner of the Carlow / Wexford preliminary round game which takes place on the 15th of October.

The Wexford Intermediate final is down for decision this Saturday and will be contested by Gusserane and St Martins, the winner will then play Carlow champions, Eire Og.
