TG4 All Ireland Quarter Final

Saturday 9th July, 2pm

Páirc Seán Mac Diarmada

Dublin v Donegal

Dublin and Donegal will meet again this Saturday for a second year in a row at the quarter final stage of the TG4 senior football championship.

In the 2021 quarter final meeting, Dublin defeated Donegal on the score line of 2-12 (18) to 2-07 (13) with Carla Rowe her sides top scorer on that occasion with a tally of 2-03.

The two Counties meet earlier this year in March in the semi-final of the LIDL NFL. Donegal got their revenge for the quarter final defeat, when Emma McCrory and Yvonne Bonner struck for two late injury time goals to send Mick Bohan’s side tumbling out of the league. FT Score Donegal 2-08 (14) Dublin 1-10 (13).

Going into this Saturday’s latest battle with Donegal, Dublin have made two changes to their starting team from that which began against Mayo on June 25th last.

Sinead Goldrick returns to the Dublin half back line having missed the Mayo game owing to an injury  picked up in training the week of that game while Kate McDaid renews her midfield partnership with Jennifer Dunne.

Making way for Goldrick and McDaid are Orlagh Nolan and Lauren Magee.

The winner of this quarter final contest will play either Meath or Galway in the TG4 All Ireland semi-final in Croke Park on Saturday July 16th.
