Kate Sullivan is The Croke Park/LGFA Player of the Month for February
ST Sylvester’s and Dublin star Kate Sullivan has been honoured with The Croke Park/LGFA Player of the Month award for February 2022.
Forward ace Sullivan, 21, was in wonderful form for her club St Sylvester’s, who defeated Castlebar Mitchels on February 6 to capture the currentaccount.ie All-Ireland Intermediate club title.
Kate set Syl’s on their way to victory by scoring a fine goal with just ten seconds on the clock.
She returned to inter-county duty with Dublin for the commencement of the Lidl National League and has been a key figure in the county team’s march to the semi-finals of the competition.
Kate played two games for League holders Dublin during the month of February, against Waterford and Cork, and she also started against Meath in the thrilling recent victory at Páirc Tailteann.
Kate slotted two points for Dublin against Cork at Croke Park on February 19 and Dublin’s thoughts now turn to next Saturday’s (March 19) Lidl NFL Division Division 1 semi-final against Donegal at St Tiernach’s Park, Clones (1pm).
Kate was presented with her award today by Siobhan Riordan, Director of Operations, The Croke Park.
