DUBLIN TEAM ANNOUNCEMENT

TG4 All Ireland Senior Quarter Final

Monday, August 2nd

Páirc Seán Mac Diarmada, Carrick-On-Shannon, 4pm

Live on TG4

Mick Bohan has named an unchanged starting 15 for the quarter final clash with Donegal this coming Bank Holiday, Monday. Siobhan Killeen and Niamh Hetherton who both nailed 1-01 from play when introduced as second half substitutes against Waterford are listed amongst the Dublin replacements.

Dublin’s quarter final opponents, Donegal overcame a dogged Kerry outfit last weekend to seal their place in the knockout stages of the TG4 SFC. Donegal’s four-point victory over the kingdom was a moral boosting win for Maxi Curran’s side who were defeated by Galway in round one.

Donegal had taken a 1-6 to 0-4 lead over Galway into the dressing room but conceded three goals to the Tribeswomen in a two-minute spell on the restart that affectively sealed their faith. Galway running out victorious in the end by 3-10 (19) to 1-11 (14).

Geraldine McLaughlin has proven once again why she is such a key player for Donegal having amassed 1-15 (5f) to date in their two championship outings. Midfielder Katy Herron has also been in fine form chalking up 2-01 from play while Niamh McLoughlin (0-02), Karen Guthrie (0-04(3f) and Niamh Hegarty 0-02 have also contributed to Donegal’s scoring tally this summer.

The action gets underway in Páirc Seán Mac Diarmada on Monday at 4pm, LIVE on TG4 and on tg4.ie

Monday’s winner will play either Galway or Mayo in the All-Ireland semi-final on August 14th.

Dublin LGFA will have LIVE score updates from the game available on their Twitter page and regular updates on both Facebook and Instagram.
