Dub’s LIDL NFL Fixtures Confirmed -

The LGFA today have released full details of Dublin’s LIDL NFL 2021 fixture programme which gets underway on Sunday week May 23rd, with a home tie versus Waterford in Parnell Park.

History will be made on May 29th as it will be the first occasion that a Dublin ladies team have been fixed to play in the home of Cork GAA, Pairc Ui Chaoimh. Dublin will take on Ephie Fitzgerald’s rebels at 7.35pm in what will be a repeat of the 2020 TG4 All Ireland final.

Dublin’s final group fixture is down for decision on the June Bank holiday Saturday with the Dub’s taking on Tipperary at Semple Stadium at 6.30pm.

It is both very encouraging and welcoming to have all three round robin games staged at GAA County grounds. A fact not lost on players or management alike.

With all NFL games being played behind closed doors owing to Covid restrictions, Dublin LGFA welcome the news today that TG4 will be broadcasting two of their three group games live (Cork / Tipperary)while they await confirmation from HQ regarding the streaming of their opening round game vs Waterford.

Dublin Chairperson, Joe Keane said “it is marvellous to learn supporters, family and friends will have the opportunity to watch live NFL action.

Everyone involved in the game are extremely thankful to TG4 for their continued promotion of ladies football. Their decision to extend the coverage of league games at a time when supporters cannot attend is very welcoming for all LGFA fans both at home and abroad”.
