Dub’s look forward to championship meeting with the Déise ...

Following on from their hard fought victory over Donegal last weekend, Dublin turn their attention to their second TG4 championship group game versus Waterford this coming Saturday in Wicklow.

This fixture will once again take place behind closed doors owing to level 5 Covid restrictions but fans can catch all the action LIVE from Baltinglass on the LGFA Facebook page, from 1pm.

Dublin and Waterford met on July 13th last in O’Moore Park Portlaoise, in the opening group game of the 2019 TG4 SFC championship.

On that occasion Dublin ran out comfortable winners by 5-15 (30) to Waterfords 2-06(12).

Niamh McEvoy and Lyndsey Davey raised the green flag twice for the Dubs with Nicole Owens also finding the back of the Déise net on route to her sides 18 point victory.

Missing that day from the Dublin line out in Portlaoise was team Captain Sinead Aherne, the St Sylvesters star didn’t tog due to a shoulder injury picked up in the Leinster final versus Westmeath.

Dublin management will be looking for an improved performance this coming weekend from their chargers following a below par somewhat rusty display in Cavan.

A victory on Saturday will confirm Dublin’s  appearance in the 2020 All Ireland semi-finals which are down for decision on November 28th next, in Thurles.
