DUBLIN - Level 3

The Government has announced this evening that Dublin is to be placed at Level 3 of risk for Covid 19 from Midnight tonight.

The following needs to be noted for all Dublin LGFA club activity (now applicable to Dublin)

1. When a county moves to a Level 3 classification, no spectators are permitted, but adult club and county matches can continue to take place behind closed doors. Underage games cannot take place (U-18 or below)

2. When a county moves to Level 3, underage training must be on a non-contact basis in pods of up to 15. Adult teams can continue to train as normal

3. Club Challenge games (including adult) in Level 3 Counties (Dublin) are not permitted – neither are clubs from Level 3 Counties (Dublin) (or Level 2 with additional restrictions) permitted to travel outside the County to play a challenge game.

ALL DUBLIN LGFA underage fixtures (U18 and age groups below) are now cancelled until permission is in place for resumption.

Dublin LGFA Fixtures Officer, Paul McLoughlin has undertaken to inform all appointed referees of cancellation for this coming weekend series of games.

Today's announcement indicates a three-week interval at level 3, so Dublin LGFA are hopeful of resumption of underage competitive games on the 10th October, subject to Government advice.

Adult training and games can continue but no spectators are allowed at games.

If further information relevant to our games programme or further requirements in respect of training is issued we will update all Dublin clubs immediately.
