Weekly notes 9th April 2018

Inter County Update:

It was a good weekend on the playing fields for our Senior, Minor and U16 County teams.

On Saturday our senior’s chalked up their 6th win of the NFL defeating Kerry by 1-16 to 1-11. The win ensured top spot for Dublin on the division 1 table setting up a meeting with Galway in the semi-final on the weekend of the 21/22 of April.

Our minor team qualified for the Leinster championship final on Sunday following their 5-11 to 0-09 win over Kildare also on Sunday our U16 team recorded a 3-12 to 0-04 win over Wexford.

Dublin LGFA would like to thank DCU and St Anne’s GAA club for hosting our County games over the weekend. The offer to host was greatly appreciated especially with pitches being at a premium at the moment owing to the recent inclement weather.

AIG Feile 2018:

Dublin Feile takes place this weekend with 74 teams competing in the 2018 competition making this year’s Feile the biggest to date in the history of our association. On Saturday over 1,600 approx. players will take part in the group stages of the competition which will be played in 19 venues spread right across the County.

Once again Dublin LGFA would like to thank AIG for kindly sponsoring our Feile competition and wish all the players, their management teams and their clubs the very best of luck.

County Board meeting:

The next meeting of the Dublin LGFA will take place on Tuesday the 17th of April at 7.30pm in Parnell Park.
