TG4 Leinster Senior Semi-Final
Sunday June 25th, 12:00 noon
Dublin v Laois
Venue: Timahoe GAA club, Co Laois
Dublin manager Mick Bohan has named his starting 15 to face Laois in Sunday’s eagerly awaited Leinster semi-final. Dublin played Cork in the NFL semi-final nine weeks ago so one can only imagine that the players are really looking forward to playing competitive football again.
Bohan has named a strong and very experienced starting 15. Included are eleven players who started in last Septembers All Ireland final versus Cork. Two of the four who featured in that All Ireland final loss Molly Lamb and Lyndsey Davey are listed amongst the Dublin replacements. However Deirdre Murphy and Lauren Magee are both unavailable for selection owing to injury.
Coming into the team for Sunday’s important clash with Laois are Martha Byrne, Rachel Ruddy, Sarah McCaffrey and Amy Connolly. Rachel Ruddy is making a welcome return to championship football having being unavailable to Dublin for the last two seasons owing to a recurring back injury. Ruddy an All- Ireland senior winner and an All Star from 2010 will bring a huge level of experience to the Dublin full back line.
Westmeath await the winners of this semi-final clash having already booked their place in the 2017 Provincial decider with round robin victories over Kildare and Laois.
Dublin LGFA will have LIVE score updates available from Timahoe on Sunday via their Twitter page @dublinladiesg with half time and full time reports also available on their Facebook and Instagram pages.
