Dublin LGFA Weekly Notes:
Leinster Champions:
Congratulations to our Dublin U16 panel and management team on winning the Leinster championship last Saturday following a 5-09 to 2-07 victory over Meath. Emma McCormack (Fingallians) was named as the Player of the Match. Read the match report on our website and images from the game can be viewed on GAApics.com
U14 All Ireland Blitz:
Well done to all the girls who represented Dublin in the All Ireland U14 Blitz in Rathleague Co Laois last weekend.
May County Board Meeting:
Dublin Ladies football County board May meeting will take place in Parnell Park Tuesday the 16th May at 7:30pm. All clubs should ensure they are represented at the meeting.
Registrations 2017:
Re-registration of any member registered in 2016 but not yet renewed is needed by 31st May. Any player not registered during 2016 must be registered in the interim in order to train or play. There must be no unregistered player on the pitch. Team mentors are advised to check back with their club registrar as to the status of their players. Players who are not registered have no injury fund cover.
Club Mentor Information Evening:
The Dublin LGFA Referees Development Committee is hosting a club mentor information evening on Friday May 26th at 8pm in Fingallians GAA Swords for club mentors from U13 up to and including Adult.
Playing rules and interpretation of the rules will be explained with any queries answered and addressed by some of our top officials. Mentors will be advised on the correct procedures in relation to fixtures, communication with other clubs, communication with referees, the Gum shield rule, returning match results, organising challenge games etc. basically everything you need and should know as a team mentor.
All club mentors are welcome to attend and it is advised that all clubs have a representative in attendance.
