Dublin LGFA weekly notes:


Another big weekend for Ladies football in the Capital as AIG Feile Atha Cliath gets underway this coming Saturday in 17 venues right across the County. Feile 2017 will be largest competition organised to date by Dublin LGFA with 66 teams competing in the tournament with over 1,500 girls playing in this superb festival of Gaelic football.  Dublin LGFA and our sponsor AIG would like to wish all players, management and officials the very best of luck for Feile weekend.

On Saturday our Minor’s take on Meath in the semi-final of the Leinster championship again everyone in Dublin LGFA would like to wish Martin and the team all the very best of luck. Details of venue and time are still to be confirmed by Leinster Council details will be posted on our website once confirmed.


History was created last Saturday when Dublin played Mayo in Croke Park in the first ladies NFL game to held at the stadium. Sadly the result did not go Dublin’s way despite the best efforts of all the girls in blue. This coming Sunday Dublin travel into the west and a meeting with Galway details regarding this match will be confirmed shortly. Depending on the hurling QF draw the game will either be 12:00 in Pearse Stadium or 2pm in Tuam Stadium.

Last weekend our U14 team played out an exciting draw with Meath FT score Dublin 3-04 Meath 1-10. On Sunday our U16 team travelled to Laois and overcame the O’Moore County on the score line of 4-11 to 2-07.
