Dublin saw off the challenge from Longford today in the minor championship with a strong seconded half performance which saw the reigning Leinster Champions out score their opponents in the second period of the game by 2-11 to nil. (HT Score Dublin 0-5 Longford 0-3.

 

Second half substitute Niamh Sheehan got the decisive score of the game with a well taken goal in the 20th min. Dublin's second goal came from a free kick taken by corner forward Caoimhe O'Connor.


Centre forward Dearbhla Snow finished the game as Dublin's top scorer with 0-6 all of which came from play.


Dublin now await the draw for the Leinster semi final which also includes Meath, Kildare and 2016 runners up Westmeath.
