Dublin LGFA Weekly notes:
Dublin travel to Cork this coming Sunday February 19th for round 3 of the LIDL NFL. The meeting will be a repeat of last September’s All Ireland final and will take place in Mallow at 2pm.
A coaching workshop will take place on Sunday March 5th in DCU organised by the Dublin Ladies senior management team. The aim of the workshop is to help club coaches introduce the key skills of the game in an innovative stimulating fun way. Topics will include (1) Correct body mechanics & athletic development (2) The two ball exercises & complex skills (3) Tackling & good defensive play (4) A language for our games (5) Scoring & correct striking techniques. Places must be booked in advance by contacting Mick Bohan 086-8461666 or email mbohanstmarks@gmail.com. Workshop fee of €50 (includes lunch) will be accepted on the day.
Our Senior County Team are organising a 18 hole fundraising Golf Classic in Hollystown Golf Club on Friday April 21st. Teams of four are invited to take part - the entry fee of €400 per team includes tea /scones and a 3 course meal. The event itself will have a shotgun start at 2.30pm with a raffle on the night along with a player’s presentation. A County Board meeting will take place this coming Tuesday February 14th at 7.30pm in Parnell Park. Juvenile team gradings and the juvenile calendar will be discussed at this meeting clubs are advised to have at least one delegate in attendance.
