LIDL NFL Div 1 Rd1:Sunday January 29th, 2pm

Dublin v Monaghan

Dublin boss, Mick Bohan gets his second term in charge of the Dublin ladies underway in earnest this Sunday with a opening LIDL NFL fixture versus Ulster champions, Monaghan.
When the two sides meet last year it was Dublin who dominated proceedings coming away from the Farney county with a 5-18 to 0-06 point victory.

However, there is no doubt that Sunday's game will be a much tighter contest.

Monaghan may have had a tough 2016 NFL campaign but they turned the second half of their season around making huge strides in the championship under the guidance of manager Paula Cunningham.
A single score was all that separated Monaghan from Cork in the All Ireland semi-final with the rebels overcoming the Farney challenge by 2-10 to 1-10.

Monaghan have a number of experienced personnel amongst their ranks including sisters Sharon and Cora Courtney and 2016 All Star winners Ciara McAnespie and Grainne McNally.

Sunday's game has all the makings of a interesting, close fought contest and one not to be missed.

The action gets underway at 2pm in Naomh Mearnog GAA club, Portmarnock #COYGIB
