Challenge matches / tournament games (Juvenile blitz) Information:

Club managers most likely will be planning to organise challenge match or juvenile blitz in the coming weeks in preparation for the new 2017 playing season.

Just a reminder to all club mentors that permission must be obtained / granted for all challenge games, blitzes and tournaments organised by clubs in order to ensure that your players are fully covered under the LGFA injury fund.

Please just follow these few simple steps:

Email info@dublinladiesgaelic.ie the following information: (text messages will not suffice)

  • The name / age group of the team(s) / club you are playing the challenge match against along with the date, venue and time of the game.
  • Provide us with the name of the referee who is going to officiate your challenge game or if you require the County Board to organise a referee for you.
  • Please provide the County Board with a minimum 24 hours’ notice of the challenge game ideally more if you are playing a team outside of the County or Province as permission then has to be obtained from either Leinster Council (if you are playing a team outside of Dublin but within Leinster) or from Croke Park (if you are playing a club outside of Leinster).

The Dublin LGFA office closes at 5pm on a Friday so please ensure you have your email sent well in advance of the office closing time.
