Dublin LGFA Weekly Notes – 

Everyone in Dublin LGFA would like to wish Foxrock Cabinteely and St Maurs all the very best of luck this coming Sunday November 20th in their respective club All Ireland semi-finals.

Foxrock Cabinteely takes on Carnacon (Mayo) in the All-Ireland senior club semi-final at 2pm in Bray Emmets GAA club.  St Maurs take on Ulster champions Latton O'Rahilly (Monaghan) at 1pm in the junior club semi-final in Rush.

Congratulations to our five All Star winners of 2016, Leah Caffrey (Na Fianna), Sinead Goldrick (Foxrock Cabinteely), Carla Rowe (Clann Mhuire), Noelle Healy (St Brigid’s) and Sinead Aherne (St Sylvester’s). Congratulations also to Caoimhe O’Connor (Clontarf) the Leinster Young Player of the Year.

On Friday evening We Are Dublin held their inaugural Player of the Year awards. Sinead Aherne was announced as the senior footballer of the year award winner. Lauren Magee (Kilmacud Crokes) was presented with the Young Player of the Year award, congrats to both players.

Tickets (€45) are now available to purchase from Kathleen Colreavy for our Annual Awards night which is taking place on November 26th in the Gibson Hotel, Point Village. On the night we will have the presentation of medals to our senior, U21 and minor teams along with the announcement of the Player of the Year awards. Our MC on the night will be Joanne Cantwell of RTÉ sport.

Our Dublin U14 and U16 medal presentations along with the U16/U14 Player of the Year awards will take place this Friday November 18th at 7.30pm in Clanna Gael Fontenoy GAA club.

The Annual County Convention of Dublin Ladies Gaelic Football has been set for Saturday December 3rd 2016. Deadline for receipt of Nominations, motions and recommendations is Friday the 18th of November 2016 @5pm (close of business).  Papers may be sent to Dublin Ladies Gaelic Football, Le Chéile Community Centre, Donnycarney Dublin 5 or emailed to info@dublinladiesgaelic.ie

Papers received after this deadline will be deemed null and void.
