Dublin LGFA Weekly notes:

Congratulations to our senior team who retained their Leinster championship title on Sunday last with a 4-21 to 0-07 win over Westmeath. The result was a historic one for our County as we claimed our 5th Leinster Senior Championship title in a row. Well done to Nicole Owens (St Sylvester’s) who was the worthy recipient of the TG4 Player of the match award following her terrific display which was added to by Nicole scoring six points from play.

 

On Saturday our U16 team booked their place in the 2016 All Ireland final following their 4-15 to 1-07 victory over Armagh in the Gaelic Grounds in Drogheda. Dublin will now play either Kerry or Mayo in the final which is scheduled to take place on Wednesday June 27th. Images from the game can be viewed on GAApics.com

 

This coming Saturday July 16th our minors take on Armagh in the All Ireland semi-final, details regarding the venue and match time are still to be confirmed by Croke Park.

 

The July County Board meeting of the Dublin LGFA will take place on Thursday July 14th at 7.00pm in Parnell Park. This will be an extremley busy meeting with juvenile championship draws and transfer applications on the agenda. Clubs should have at least one registered member in attendance at this very important meeting. The meeting agenda and minutes of the previous meeting will be circulated in advance by County Secretary, Mary O’Connor.
