Club Championship Draws Senior to Junior C 2016

Dublin Club Championship 2016

 

The draw for the Senior to Junior C Dublin club championships took place last night at the April County Board meeting. The opening round of the championship will get underway on Wednesday May 11th with 41 teams vying for 2016 championship honours across the five championship competitions.

 

Reigning senior champions Foxrock Cabinteely will begin the defence of their title with a home game versus last year’s County runners up St Brigids. 2015 Intermediate champions Parnells will make their first appearance in top flight football with an away fixtures versus St Sylvester’s.

 

Senior Championship (Two groups)

Group A:

Fingallians v Thomas Davis

Ballyboden St Endas v Na Fianna

Kilmacud Crokes v Bye

 

Group B:

Foxrock Cabinteely v St Brigids

St Sylvester’s v Parnells

 

The 2016 Intermediate championship will have just six teams fighting it out for championship glory. Last season runners up Clontarf will take on 2015 Junior championship winners Skerries Harps in their opening round fixture. Clann Mhuire will play Clanna Gael Fontenoy while Ballinteer St Johns will welcome St Margaret’s to Marley Park.

St Maur’s will be looking to shake the runners up tag off their backs as they once again go in search of Junior championship glory. Eleven teams will compete in what will be a very competitive Junior A championship with a number of club in contention to lift the title.
