U21 Player nominations sought

Dublin U21 player nominations:

In 2016 Dublin will be endeavouring to secure their third U21 All Ireland title in a row. This season the LGFA have reformed the format of the competition from a round robin championship to a weekend blitz which will take place on the 4th and 5th of June.

Dublin LGFA is inviting clubs to submit player nominations for the 2016 U21 Dublin Inter County panel.

Your club mentors knowledge of your players should be used judiciously to only send forward for trials a player or players who they deem to have a reasonable chance of being in the final 30 of the whole County.

Unless you honestly consider that your player(s) are at or very close to the top 30 players in the County taking into consideration the grade and opposition which they will be playing club football at in 2016, they should not be nominated.

Nominating a girl who is not near the standard to make the final 30 will only prove to be very disheartening for the player in question.  Dublin LGFA is appealing to your mentors not to view Dublin U21 trials as a mechanism to “reward” players.

To be eligible to be considered for the Dublin U21 panel of 2016 players must be registered members of a club and be over 18 and under 21 years of age on the 1st of January 2016.

Players who are eligible to play U21 championship and are currently members of the Dublin senior NFL panel are not required to be nominated.

Nominations will only be accepted from your club secretary or nominated point of contact, deadline for submissions is on or before Tuesday 29th of March by 10.00am

Nomination forms which have been circulated to all club Secretaries can be emailed to info@dublinladiesgaelic.ie or posted to Dublin LGFA Office, Le Cheile, Donnycarney, Dublin 5
