Scoil Mhuire from Carrick on Suir have become the first Tipperary school to lift the Senior A All Ireland PPS crown following an emphatic win over former champions Colaiste Iosagain.

 

Scoil Mhuire set the typo of the game from the throw in with the Munster champions dominating most sections of the pitch. At half time Scoil Mhuire lead by 1-07 to 0-03 their first half goal scored by Keeley Corbett Barry.

 

Colaiste Iosagain came out in the second and took the game to Scoil Mhuire. Substitute Sinead de Bhuilde was inspirational popping up to score two vital goals in as many minutes to cut the deficit to just three points.

 

But full credit to Scoil Mhuire their response to the Colaiste Iosagain rally was superb as they tagged on an impressive 2-05 in the closing period of the game while at the same time keeping their opponents scoreless.
