Level 1 Coaching Course

LGFA Level 1 Blended Coaching Course
Dublin LGFA in conjunction with the LGFA Development team in Croke Park have organised a LEVEL 1 coaching webinar. Owing to Covid restrictions a number of the modules of the course will be delivered on-line while participants will also be required to complete three course theory modules off line. (Details will be explained in full by the course tutor).
The virtual section of the course will take place over three dates (1) Tuesday April 20th, (2) Tuesday April 27th and (3) Tuesday 4th of May, 7-9pm (max 2 hours). Course fee €40.00
On-Line Sessions Topics:
(1) Creating a Positive Coaching Environment
(2) Knowing the Rules/Physical Preparation (P1)
(3) Physical Preparation Module (P2)
Course work off-line:
(1) Nutrition and Energy System Module 45 Mins (To be completed between Evening Three & Face to Face Course Day)
(2) Coaching Practical’s x 5 (To be completed prior to Traditional Face to Face Course Day)
(3) One scenario per Theoretical Topic provided x 4 (To be completed prior to Traditional Face to Face Course Day)
The combined course time is 22 hours (1) 12 hours course work (2) 10 hours coaching with club
Level 1 Criteria:
Participants must be 18+ years of age
Must have completed a FUNdamentals/GAA Foundation or Introduction to Gaelic Games course, please note evidence (certificate) of completion will be requested by the LGFA.
Must have at least 1 years coaching experience
Participants have access to a laptop/PC and strong Wi-Fi
