Aherne continues to lead the way …


Sinead Aherne once again heads up her Counties score sheet following Dublin’s two championship outings versus Donegal and Waterford.


To date, the reigning All Ireland champions have scored 2-30 (36) while conceding 3-20 (29) the latter stat an indication of how closely Dublin where ran by their opponents in both games. Team Captain, Sinead Aherne has amassed a personal tally of 1-12 of that 0-07 have come from frees. In second spot is Noelle Healy with 1-02 with Carle Rowe in third position with 0-03.


In total 12 players have registered scores for Dublin during the course of their 2020 championship campaign with a tally of 2-23 scored from play. The 2020 TG4 senior championship of course is unique in a number of ways. The competition is being played during the traditional off season months of October, November and December as well as having fewer rounds with no provincial fixtures taking place (does not apply to Leinster as Dublin only County graded senior in the province) owing to the Covid19 pandemic.


The All Ireland final itself is pencilled down for decision on the 20th of December at 3.30pm in Croke Park, just five days before Christmas.


Mick Bohan will be diligently working away over the next few weeks with his chargers ahead of their All Ireland semi-final on the 28th of November next. Dublin will play the winner of the Armagh versus Mayo contest which takes place this coming Saturday at 3.15pm in Parnell Park (LIVE on TG4).

Dublin their 2019 campaign, 19 players were on target for the Dubs notching up an impressive 21-75 (138) in their six championship outings while conceding 5-41 (56). Dublin’s scoring average per match was 23 points while yielding 9.3 pts to their opponents.
