Fox-Cab March on Leinster Inter Championship

Foxrock- Cabinteely defeat Eadestown in opening round of the Leinster Intermediate Club


News Report : Foxrock- Cabinteely proceed to the next round of the Leinster Intermediate Club Championship, following their defeat of Eadestown, the Kildare champions last Wednesday. It was a closely fought match with Foxrock-Cabinteely having to dig deep to secure the victory.
In the first half Fox-Cab opened up a four point lead but towards the interval, Eadestown secured a couple of frees to narrow the gap to two points.

The opening of the second half continued to see Eadestown fight back, however Fox-Cab piled on the pressure towards the end of the game to become the eventual winners,by 0-11 to 0-6.
Amy Ring on the full forward line scored 6 of the 11 points. The three Murphys, Anne-Marie, Sinead and Ciara along with Sinead Goldrick worked tirelessly around the middle of the field while Sarah Brophy was one of the stalwarts in the full back line which held Eadestown to only one point from play. Fox-Cab proceed to the next round, taking on Stammullen the Meath Champions on the 5th October.
