Dublin U16’s book place in Final

Dublin booked their place in the 2022 All Ireland final following a resounding victory over Roscommon on Wednesday night last in Kinnegad.

The score line is somewhat flattering for the victors as just a single score separated the two sides at the interval with Dublin edging out their rivals by 3-04 (13) to 1-07 (10) at half time.

Dublin’s ability to bag goals was the key difference between the two sides with Joy Ralph, Elsa Kearney, Lucy Ahern, and sub-Kate O’Toole all raising the green flag for the dubs.

The All-Ireland final will take place on Wednesday 13th of July next with Dublin taking on the Rebels.

Cork had to dig deep to save off a serious challenge from Cavan in their semi-final with the Munster champions hanging on to claim a 3-12 to 2-12 victory.

Wednesday’s win, saw Dublin bridge a six-year gap having last appeared in the decider back in 2016 losing out to Kerry on that occasion. The Capital last took home the U16 crown back in 2010 having come out on the wrong side of results to Cork in the 2013 and 2014 finals.

Croke Park are expected to announce details regarding the venue, time, and ticket information for the All Ireland final early next week.
