Leinster Club Fixtures update Monday 5th Oct 


Leinster Junior Semi Final; 

Dublin Junior champions, Ballinteer St Johns Leinster campaign came to an end on Saturday afternoon last with a defeat to Longford Intermediate champions, Ballymore. The Dubliners losing out on the scoreline of 3-20(29) to 1-15(18). Earlier in the week Ballinteer had endured a titanic battle with Clann na nGael of Meath in the rescheduled Leinster quarter final so tired legs and an away trip to Longford did not help their cause. Ballymore will play Wexford Intermediate champions, Kilmore in the provincial decider.


Leinster Senior Final; 

Dunboyne the Meath champions have we understand lodged an appeal to Central Council following the awarding of the senor semi-final by Leinster Council to Foxrock Cabinteely. Dublin and reigning senior Leinster champions Foxrock Cabinteely were due to contest the 2020 Leinster final versus Laois champions, Portaoise this coming Sunday October 11th. All three clubs now await the decision of the appeal which is due to be heard virtually in the coming days. 


UPDATE:

Leinster Council on Friday October 9th took the decision to defer all provincial finals until Jan 2021. Foxrock Cabinteely v Portlaoise is pencilled down for January 17th, 2021.
