Dublin LGFA Weekly Notes


TG4 Senior All Ireland Championship:

The TG4 All Ireland Semi-Finals will take place this Sunday August 25th in Croke Park. This is the first time that both senior semi-finals will be played at GAA HQ. The first game between Galway and Mayo gets underway at 2.00pm followed by the meeting of Dublin and Cork at 3.45pm. 


Ticket Information; Adults: €20.00, Students/Seniors: €10.00, Juveniles(U-16's): €2.00. TICKETS are now on sale from lgfa.tickets.ie and from the LGFA office 01-8363156 & select Centra / SuperValu stores. 


Clubs wishing to bring their juvenile teams to Croke Park on the 25th are advised to ring the LGFA 01-8363156 to organise group bookings. 


Please note this is a general admission fixture with NO reserved seating.


Eugene Egan Tournament:

Our 2019 tournament took place on Saturday last August 17th in Clanna Gael Fontenoy GAA club.  


Congratulations to Cork on retaining their title with a fine over Baile Átha Cliath in the Cup final. Dublin’s second team retained the shield title defeating Kildare in the final while Wexford won the plate final following an impressive second half comeback against Antrim. 


A big thank you to our match officials, Derek Greene, John Doherty and Jason Buckley and to Jimmy and Derek from Clanna Gael Fontenoy who ensured the event ran off without a hitch.

Leinster U10 Blitz:

Well done to the U10 girls from Ballyboden St Endas, St Finians Swords, Garristown and Shankill along with Scoil Ui Chonaill and Naomh Olaf who represented Dublin at the Leinster U10 Blitz held in Bray Emmets on Sunday August 18th. Images from the event are available to view on www.GAApics.com


U17 All Ireland Blitz:

Good luck and best wishes to the Dublin U17 development squad and their management team who are representing the County on Tuesday in the All-Ireland U17 blitz. The event which is taking place in Abbotstown gets underway at 11am.
