Club scene:

Congratulations to Foxrock Cabinteely on winning their 4th Leinster Senior Club championship title in a row following their 4-11 to 1-08 victory over Sarsfields of Laois on Sunday. Foxrock Cabinteely will now play Ulster champions, Donaghmoyne (Monaghan) in the All Ireland semi-final on the weekend of the 17/18th of November. The semi-final will be a home fixture for the Dublin and Leinster club champions.


Congratulations also to Clontarf who captured the Intermediate Leinster club championship title on Saturday afternoon following an impressive 5-13 to 2-08 victory over Naomh Ciaran (Offaly). Clontarf will now represent Dublin and Leinster in the All Ireland semi-final on the weekend of the 17/18th of November when they travel west to meet Connacht champions, St Brendan’s (Galway).


Also on Saturday, a thrilling battle was played out in the Leinster Junior final between Dublin champions, Castleknock and Carlow champions, Old Leighlin. This game went to extra time and even then the two sides could not be separated, FT score Castleknock 3-09 Old Leighlin 2-12. The replay takes place this coming Saturday at 2pm in Athy, Co Kildare.

Notice of Dublin Annual County Convention 2018:

The Annual County Convention of the Dublin Ladies Gaelic Football has been set for Saturday December 1st 2018. The convention will take place in the Clayton Dublin Airport Hotel (previously Bewley’s, just off Clonshaugh Road at end N50) from 10am to 1pm.


Clubs are invited to submit nominations, motions and recommendations, official forms have been emailed to all club Secretaries. Deadline for receipt of nominations, motions and recommendations is Friday the 16th of November 2018 at 5pm (close of business). Papers may be sent to Dublin Ladies Gaelic Football, Le Chéile Community Centre, Donnycarney Dublin 5 or emailed to secretary.dublin@lgfa.ie


Underage Blitzes:

Last weekend approx. 6,000 girls from U8 up to and including U12 age groups took part in our end of season club blitzes. A big thank you to all our host clubs and match officials who made the weekend the huge success it was.
