Well done to Naomh Olaf & St Marys Saggart U14 Teams last night on a well battled game of football. The minute the ball was thrown in it was clear that this was going to be a competitive game with both sides giving it their all, St Marys Saggart had 4 wides in the first 5 minutes but the wind was not on their side. After 15 minutes in a penalty was given to Olaf’s Anna Pollard after a bad tackle from St Mary’s she stuck it into the top corner. It was nip and tuck from then on with both points and goals from both sides and level at half time. In second half Olaf’s pulled into a 1 point lead but Mary’s managed to win the game with 2 quick goals in succession by Niamh Reilly and Molly McGlynn. It was a great match overall with great defensive displays from both sides.
