TG4 SFC All Ireland Semi final

Saturday August 25th, 4:30pm

Dr Hyde Park, Roscommon

Dublin v Galway

Dublin have kept faith in the same 15 players that started their quarter final clash with Kerry two weeks ago for this coming Saturday’s eagerly awaited All Ireland semi-final encounter with Galway.

Galway having defeated Mayo in the Connacht final went on to have comprehensive victories over Waterford and Westmeath in the group stages before inflicting a heavy defeat of a depleted Mayo side in the quarter final FT Galway 5-11 Mayo 0-12.

Likewise Dublin has enjoyed a good run though the championship on route to the semi-finals chalking up victories over Westmeath (Leinster final), Cavan, Mayo and Kerry.

Saturday’s meeting of Dublin and Galway will be the third fixture taking place in Dr Hyde Park and it is expected to be a tight, close encounter with Dublin aiming to reach their 5th All Ireland final in a row. Galway on the other hand are looking to bridge a 14 year gap as victory over Dublin will see the Tribeswomen return to Croke Park for the first time since winning the Brendan Martin cup back in 2004.
