Weekly notes 16th April

AIG Feile: 

Congratulations to Ballyboden St Endas (Div 1) and Garda / Westmanstown Gaels (Div 2) on winning their respective Feile competitions last weekend. Wishing both clubs the very best of luck when they represent Dublin at National Feile in June.


A big thank you to our host clubs, St Brigids, Kilmacud Crokes, Westmanstown Gaels and Robert Emmets who ensured everything ran smoothly on Saturday. Thanks also to IT Blanchardstown for hosting both Feile finals on Sunday.

AIG Feile for divisions 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 will take place on May 19th and 20th.


Inter County:

Dublin play Galway this Sunday the 22nd of April in the semi-final of the LIFL NFL details regarding time and venue are still be announced by Croke Park.


Our U14 team play Meath on Saturday April 21st likewise we are awaiting news on the venue and time for this Leinster Championship game.


April Monthly Meeting:

It is with great sadness that we learnt of the sudden passing of Deirdre Lambe (RIP) over the weekend. Deirdre was a member of our County Disciplinary Committee and a Board delegate for her club Na Fianna. She will be sadly missed by us all. Sincere sympathies to Deidre’s family, friends and her club Na Fianna where she was club Secretary. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a h-anam


As a mark of respect to Deirdre the Dublin LGFA County Board meeting due to take place on Tuesday April 17th has been postponed. 

The meeting has been re-scheduled for Tuesday April 24th at 7.30pm in Parnell Park.


Golf Classic:

The Dublin Senior team are holding a classic on Friday May 11th in Hollystown Golf club. Team of four €450, Sponsor a tee box or green €150. For more information please contact John 087-6917295
