Weekly notes 19th February 2018

 

Dublin LGFA County Board Meetings:

A County Board meeting will take place this Tuesday the 20th of February. The meeting agenda and minutes of previous meeting will be issued to clubs by County Secretary Mary O’Connor. The venue for the meeting is Clanna Gael Fontenoy GAA club not Parnell Park (please note the change of venue) commencing at 8.00pm promptly.


Pre-season administration:

A reminder to clubs that all players must be registered in order to train and play with your club, please check with your club registrar as to the status of your players ahead of the new season.


All aspects of the Child First Act of 2015 is now active therefore all juvenile mentors must be over 16 years of age, must be registered members of their club, must have at a minimum a Fundamental / Foundation level coaching cert, must have completed a Safeguarding Children’s course and must be GARDA vetted.


Juvenile fixtures commence this weekend please make contact with your opposition to confirm the match details, also confirm the availability of the  County Board appointed match official at least 48 hours ahead of game. 


Should the appointed referee not be available contact the relevant referee’s assigner (Michelle Keating U13, Antoin Keating U14 to Minor) so that they can appoint a replacement official.


LIDL NFL 2018:

Dublin take on Mayo this Saturday the 24th of February in Castlebar this game will also feature as part of a double bill with the men, in what will be a repeat of both 2017 Senior All Ireland finals.

The game will be shown live on Eir Sport 1 from 16:45 with thrown in down for 5pm.
