Official Homecoming for Victorious Dublin Ladies Footballers.

Fáilte Abhaile a Churaidh Uile Éireann.

To honour the fantastic achievement of the Dublin Senior Ladies Footballers All-Ireland final win in Croke Park last Sunday, CLG Na Fianna will officially welcome home the All-Ireland Champions this Thursday night (28th September 2017) at 7pm. Hosted by Na Fianna in the intimate surroundings of the Mobhi Road Club, the All-Ireland Champions will be given a homecoming second to none as the team will parade on a Dublin Bus open top bus from the top of Griffith Avenue down to Mobhi Road.

The route to Na Fianna will be lined by girls and boys from the Club while a guard of honour will be provided to the Dublin Ladies by Na Fianna’s Ladies Footballers, ranging from the Club’s very youngest teams right through to the Senior team, along with representatives from the local schools, as the Champions enter the Na Fianna gates to the Clubhouse where the official ceremony will take place. Following a number of interviews with Dublin players, past and present, the All-Ireland winning team will then be introduced to the assembled crowd.

“We are delighted to be honouring our All-Ireland Champions,” said CLG Na Fianna Chairman Colum Cronin. “We had a similar ceremony back in 2010 when the Jackies last lifted the Brendan Martin cup and we’re hoping that we’ll have an even bigger crowd here on Thursday night to welcome the Ladies home and to show them how proud we all are of them. It’s going to be a massive night for everybody involved with Dublin Ladies Gaelic Football and everybody is welcome.”

Official Media Partner for the event, FM104, will be broadcasting live from Na Fianna from their Roadhog between 7-9pm on Thursday and their crew will also be on hand for free facepainting. All attending are asked to be in place by 6.30pm and please note that for Health and Safety reasons there will be no car parking available in Na Fianna on the night.
